Each week, Sky Society Accelerator students attend mentor workshops hosted by our Marketing Girly Mentors. Here’s this week’s highlights:

Lin Yang - MOSCOT, Global Brand Marketing
In Lin’s workshop, students learned about intentional networking and gaining industry insight. She outlined several ways aspiring marketers can build meaningful connections, including LinkedIn, social clubs, and networking events. Lin encouraged visiting physical stores, social media accounts, and joining newsletters to better understand a brand. One of her most impactful insights was to treat every role you apply and interview for as a marketing project. She explained the dynamic between a company and interviewer, and how it is essential to research their needs to strategically position oneself as the solution they’re looking for.
